Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice from India that offers tools for self-discovery and inner peace. Hatha yoga, the physical application of yogic principles, is taught regularly at the Mothership Yoga Lounge. Classes include yoga poses that stretch and strengthen the body, breathing exercises to relax the mind, and an effect that is both calming and energizing.
Instructor Shayna Samuels Turner was trained at OM yoga center in Manhattan and has done advance teacher trainings with Rodney Yee and Judith Lasater. She has also studied meditation at the Shambhala Centers of New York and Vermont. She is ever-grateful to yoga for giving her so much happiness and clarity in life, and loves to share this profound practice with others. She is a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance.
